Opening Doors Through Opportunity: Roslyn and Alyssa Begin Their Summer Jobs
At Mentor On The Move 4 Life (MOTM4L), our mission has always been to guide young people toward brighter futures. While mentorship, encouragement, and life skills are essential, we also believe that connecting youth with real opportunities is one of the most powerful ways to help them succeed.
We are proud to celebrate two of our Urban Dove student mentees, Roslyn and Alyssa, who have started summer jobs as cashiers with our valued sponsor, Trade Fair Supermarket.
For Alyssa, who graduated this year, this opportunity marks an exciting transition into the next stage of adulthood. For Roslyn, a member of the Class of 2027, this experience provides an early introduction to the workforce while she continues her education.
A first job is about much more than earning a paycheck. It teaches responsibility, communication, customer service, teamwork, time management, and confidence. These experiences help young people develop the skills they need to become successful in their careers and in life.
At MOTM4L, we strive to remove barriers and create pathways for success. By building strong relationships with community partners and local businesses, we are able to connect our mentees with meaningful opportunities that extend beyond the classroom.
We are especially grateful to Trade Fair Supermarket for partnering with us and believing in the potential of our youth. Their willingness to invest in young people demonstrates the positive impact that businesses can have when they work alongside community organizations to strengthen the next generation.
Congratulations to Roslyn and Alyssa on this exciting achievement. We are proud of all they have accomplished and look forward to watching them continue to grow both personally and professionally.
Together, through mentorship, community partnerships, and opportunity, we are helping young people build brighter futures—one opportunity at a time.
